About me and my Ph.D
Hi there, my name is David Boyda and I’m a PhD researcher and graduate student at the School of Psychology at University of Ulster. My PhD utilizes experimental psychopathology researching ”Early Environmental Influences on Threat Perception and Psychotic-Like Experiences”. This includes testing participants using experimental techniques looking for misinterpretation of environmental and social information which may lead people with schizotypic traits to interpret ambiguous environmental stimuli in threatening and negative ways.
What do I plan to do with all this studying and ultimately my life? I prefer not to makes long term plans, instead preferring to make small manageable goals about 3-6 months at a time and tend to steer away from long term flights of fantasy type thoughts. I’m quite excited about this project, I have a great team on-board and it;ll be challenging but its one I`m looking forward to.
As such, this image is appropriate since I recently completed my honors degree.
